Established informally in 2021 and formally in 2024, Daffodil Records is a marketing agency that operates as an office of one.
Georgina Rose is the person behind this place which is in fact just a modest desk in Queens, New York. The primary author of all work, Rose collaborates closely with clients — artists, gallerists, brand founders and designers — who are looking to reach likeminds through modern tools.

Frame of mind Though we don’t produce music in the traditional sense, the output of this operation is perpetually motivated by the creation of an inaudible sound that travels like a tide would; constant, confident, sometimes mystical.
The frequency of this silent score is a kissing cousin to a dog whistle — it’s memorable, emotional and inherently designed for some but not all to hear. This is how we see “good” marketing. We don’t believe in trending content or subscribe to the craze of algorithms. We value research, well-rounded stories, and consider a brand’s digital footprint to be an opportunity for authentic camaraderie and inspiration.
We see the internet at large as a platform that has the power to be as overwhelming as counting stars or as enlightening as connecting the dots of a constellation. This is what our office aims to do for our clients, composing strategies that are kaleidoscopes of their world — what they do and how they see it.
To realign the medium of marketing with this mindset, valuing soft fascination over salesmanship and symphonies over hooks, will be our magnum opus.

A piece of free advice Consider recalibrating your attention to this squished paraphrasing of a surrealist mantra: nothing is only object, everything is subject.
@daffodilrecords
Our namesake
The title of this office is a straight shot homage to Blossom Dearie, a sharp yet soft-spoken icon of the early American jazz scene. In the 1970s, she founded her own independent label (Daffodil Records, Inc) once she realized that if she wanted to do things her way, she’d have to build her own boat.
This origin story mirrors the professional roots of Ms.Rose who began her career at Ace Hotel New Orleans in 2016, composing email campaigns and now vintage tweets about David Bowie, pasta shapes, and Paper Planes. From there, Rose continued this work for an ecommerce agency in a small seaside city before shipping out to New York where she struck out on her own.

Scope:
Voice, Content, Partnerships, Press
Field Studies Flora is a design studio that works with nature rather than against it.
-
Our engagement with its founder Alex Crowder began in the early spring of 2024 during a time of incubation and future seeding.
- A year later, the brand has seen a substantial evolution of its online presence from a website designed in partnership with 1 of 1 Studio, the launch of a seasonal essay series, and multiple significant press placements to the metamorphosis of its social media positioning the studio less as a traditional floristry practice and more as a disruptive school of thought that aims to re-root the industry with empathy in service of the ecosystem.

Since 2022, we have had the pleasure of defining the voice for Sophie Lou Jacobsen, a French-American brand founded by its namesake designer in 2019.
Highly collaborative and deeply personal, this project is expansive and meticulous, encompassing deliverables from paid social campaigns and email automations to exhibition narratives press releases, sale and promotion planning, art direction for photoshoots, product and collection copywriting, social media management and editorial content development for the brand’s online journal.
Our most comprehensive case study to date, in the last three years we’ve seen exponential growth on Instagram alone, leaping forward by 173%. A success that came from steady, authentic storytelling, inviting Sophie’s audience into her sublimely feminine point of view.

Scope:
Voice, Content, Marketing
Distinctive and studied, New York-based design firm Husband Wife ideates architecturally-minded interiors that evoke the casual elegance of Rohmerian cinema.
- Ephemeral yet grounded, their practice finds balance in the tension between nostalgia and modernity, informed by the history of the decorative arts and propelled by the sophistication of contemporary living.
- Since 2022, our office has supported the studio’s founding partners, Brittney Hart and Justin Capuco in how the firm’s work is perceived by the outside world of social media followers, magazine editors, potential collaborators and clients. We’ve done this through fine-tuned voice definition, composing copy for press placements, project narratives, digital platforms and social media.
- We’ve seen immense growth since the start of our collaboration on social management in particular, growing by 80% in the last three years.

Can a rug be a portal?
Placing value in humanity over machinery, their vertically-integrated studio just outside of Marrakech in Morocco operates as the first of its kind, streamlining all parts of the production process under one roof. It’s a place where tradition bends, but never breaks.
Stretching far beyond beauty, their way of doing things shakes the dust off of this analog artform in order to protect the continued legacy of the craft in Morocco, and around the world.
Since the spring of 2024, we’ve had the joy of supporting this brand as it evolves its online presence through story-forward marketing that mimics the soulful spirit of every rug that they create.
